Legal
Privacy Policy.
What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
1. The short version
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and stores nothing in your browser. We collect personal information only where you give it to us — currently, that means when you contact us. If you create an account in future, this policy explains what that will involve.
2. What this website collects today
Browsing these pages, we collect:
- Nothing in your browser. No cookies, no local storage, no tracking pixels, no advertising or analytics scripts of any kind.
- Standard server logs. Our web server records the usual request information — IP address, time, page requested, browser user-agent. This is ordinary operational logging, used to keep the service running and to investigate abuse.
Third parties this site touches
- Google Fonts. Typefaces load from Google's font servers, so Google receives your IP address and the page you came from. We are working to remove this by hosting the fonts ourselves.
- Discord. Community links point to Discord. We do not share anything with Discord — but once you follow a link, Discord's own privacy policy applies.
We use no advertising networks and no data brokers, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.
3. Accounts
When account registration is available, creating one will involve:
- Email address — to verify the account and let you recover it. Verification and reset messages are sent through our email provider.
- Password — stored only as a salted, one-way hash. We never store or see your actual password.
- Linked game accounts — which in-game accounts belong to your website identity.
- Session and security records — sign-in times, IP address, and browser, so you can see and revoke your own sessions and we can detect account theft.
The legal basis is performing the contract you enter when you use the service, and our legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure.
4. Game data
Playing the game creates records — characters, progression, items, and any moderation history — held on our server. These are needed to run the game and to enforce the rules in our Terms of Service.
We do not keep a record of what you type in game. Chat passes through the server and is not stored, so there is no chat history for us to read, hand over, or lose.
4a. Information about your computer
When you connect with the game client, it reports a small amount of information about the machine you are playing on — a network hardware address, and basic details such as processor and graphics card names and your Windows build number. We store the most recent set against your account.
We use it for one thing: enforcing bans and account limits. It is what stops somebody who has been banned from simply making another account, and it is how we detect one person running many clients at once where that is against the rules. We do not use it for advertising, we do not profile you with it, and we do not share it.
Two things we would rather say plainly than bury. It identifies your computer rather than you personally, but it is still information about you, and you can ask us to delete it. And it is reported by the game client, which means a determined person can change what it says — we treat it as a deterrent against casual ban evasion, not as proof of anything.
5. Purchases
If you buy something, we keep a record of the order: what was bought, when, the amount, and its delivery status. We never see or store your card details. Payment is handled entirely by a payment provider; we hold only their reference for the transaction.
6. How long we keep things
Account records are kept for as long as the account exists. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we must keep a record of a purchase for accounting or fraud-prevention purposes.
Hardware information is kept while the account is in use, deleted along with the rest of your data if you close your account, and removed automatically after twelve months without a sign-in.
Server logs are kept only as long as they are useful for operations and abuse investigation, then rotated away.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
To exercise any of these, contact us through the official Discord. We may need to confirm you control the account before acting, precisely so that nobody else can make these requests about you.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and verification, reset, and session tokens are stored hashed rather than in a form that could be reused. No system is perfectly secure, but we take account security seriously — and we will never ask you for your password.
9. Children
This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will announce it through the official Discord and update the effective date above.
11. Contact
Privacy questions and requests go to the official Discord — see the community page for the link.
